The liturgical Committee has been set up to look at all aspects
of the Parish Liturgical year. This has been deemed necessary
because the ongoing shortage of Priests means that Parishoners will
have to take on more of the day to day organisation to allow our
Priests to concentrate on teaching and administering the
Sacraments.We come under the 'umbrella' or the Liturgical
Department of the PPC,and include Father Jim, Digby Carter, Tony
Marsden, the Sacristan -Marie, representatives from the three
Masses; Choir - Derek; Folk group-Jean; Organist - David and
Gill; Eucharistic Ministry - Charles; Readers - John;
and Children's Liturgy - Sue.
We review plans for the Sunday Masses during the year and other
services, ie the Stations of the Cross in Lent, and Rosary
recitations in May. There are Masses for the sick twice a year. We
plan youth Masses through the First Communion programme.
We met for the first time in January 2008, and continue to meet
every two to three months. We try to keep in contact with the
Parish and keep you informed about the liturgical life at Corpus
Christi, via the newsletter and Website.
